Since 1986, the mission at Tampa Bay Magazine has been to entertain and inform readers about the people, places, pleasures and wonders of the Florida's Tampa Bay Area. The editorial features are designed to give the readers what they want, which gives the advertisers the most for their marketing dollars.
We bring interactivity to each section of our magazine. The events section displays monthly events in and around the Tampa Bay Area, including festivals, concerts, musicals, plays and operas. Our Ipad app is changing the way our readers view the galleria section in our magazine by adding browser popup windows within the app. The galleria section displays museums, galleries, theaters and attractions in the Tampa Bay Area. The browser popup window enables users to click on a featured galleria website from the list and view this locationa??s website without leaving the app. Now readers have the convenient capability to view websites of galleries and museums within the app.
We offer a whole new level of involvement through interactive browsing features. Readers are able to scroll through a slideshow of an artwork easily and even share their favorite pieces with their friends and family via email, Facebook, and Twitter without leaving the app. A benefit of the app compared to the print magazine is the capability for the reader to zoom in and inspect artworks close up. In our study, the largest percentage of respondents, 35%, lie in the age bracket of 36 to 45. 76% of all respondents are between the age of 26 and 55. The median age of the readership is approximately 45.
INCOME DEMOGRAPHICS
92% reported incomes in excess of $50,000. Median income of the readership is estimated at $156,000 per annum. Part of this high figure can be attributed to the fact that over 28% of the sample reported incomes in excess of $250,000.
